Caption:
This image depicted a ventral view of a guinea pig’s thoracoabdominal region, which had been shaved. Divided into four quadrants, each quadrant was administered an intracutaneous inoculation of isoniazid-resistant, human strains of tubercle bacilli, otherwise known as Mycobacterium tuberculosis. A positive reaction was seen in the upper left, lower left, and lower right quadrants, while the upper right quadrant showed no signs of a positive reactionary ulceration.
