Under a magnification of 610X, this photomicrograph of a hematoxylin-eosin (H&E)-stained lung tissue specimen harvested during the necropsy of a harp seal, Phoca groenlandica, revealed this giant cell, which contained hyphae of the fungal pathogen, Rhizomucor pusillus, formerly referred to as Mucor pusillus.
