This image depicts a close anterior view of the left inguinal region of a patient, who presented with a cutaneous fungal infection known as tinea cruris, also known as jock itch, a form of ringworm, in this case located in the region of the left inguinal crease. Note the build-up of cutaneous debris atop the skin (arrowhead), accompanied by an erythematous reaction due to the presence of the unidentified fungal organisms.
