Caption:
Captured in the Saudi Arabian city of Medina, this image depicted a close volar view of a man’s two forearms, each of which exhibited the wheals, or raised areas that had resulted at sites where a schistosomiasis intradermal skin test had been administered. The schistosomiasis antigenic injectable solutions were comprised of three schistosomal antigens. See PHIL 28041, for a closer view of this man’s right forearm, better highlighting the wheals that had manifested.
