Under a magnification of 1200X, this photomicrograph highlights morphologic features of the yeast-like fungal organism Cutaneotrichosporon cutaneum, formerly known as Trichosporon cutaneum, including pseudohyphae, blastoconidia, and rectangular arthroconidia. This specimen was obtained from a case of piedra in a monkey.
