Caption:
This photograph depicts a close anterior view of the face of a rhesus monkey, Macaca mulatta. Note the dermatophytic infection involving the nose and left infraorbital region, consistent with infection by the fungal organism Trichophyton mentagrophytes. This dermatomycosis is commonly referred to as ringworm.
