This photograph depicts numbers of flagellated Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica, or Salmonella Typhi, formerly referred to as Salmonella typhosa bacteria, which had been treated with labeled and combined 0, Vi, and H globulins, and viewed under a Leitz Ortholux microscope, using ultraviolet illumination and a dark-field condenser.
