This image depicts an anterior radiographic view of a child’s right upper arm, shoulder and hemithorax. The patient was dealing with sickle cell anemia, and had sustained osteomyelitic changes in the right humerus due to the disease, imparting a moth-eaten appearance to the bone due to a reduction in bone density.
