This historic photograph from 1957, depicted Dr. William Daniel “Dan” Sudia seated on the left, and Roy W. Chamberlain, Sc.D., as they were in the process of inoculating mosquitoes with an unidentified virus, while seated in a field office laboratory located in Montgomery, Alabama. Dr. Chamberlain was using carbon dioxide (CO2) to knock out the mosquitoes before conducting the inoculation process.
