Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph highlighted some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungal organism, Microsporum gypseum, designated strain 47-5X, which originated from a French soil isolate, designated soil-416. Note the fusiform, multicellular macroconidia.
