This photomicrograph highlighted some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungal organism, Microsporum gypseum, which originated from a French soil isolate, designated soil-416. Note the large grouping of fusiform, multicellular macroconidia along the exterior of one side of a hair shaft.
