This photograph depicts four nutrition test tube slant cultures, which had been inoculated with Trichophyton concentricum fungal organisms, in order to see if the addition of thiamine (vitamin B1), had any impact upon the growth-rate of these colonies. In this case, the breakdown of the constituents in each growth medium sample were as follows:

- Tube #1 - Only added Casein = Heavy Growth

- Tube #2 – added Casein + Inositol = Heavy Growth

- Tube #3 – added Casein + Thiamine = Heavy Growth

- Tube #4 – added Casein + Thiamine + Inositol = Heavy Growth

Results reveal growth stimulation in this particular strain of T. concentricum occurred with all these nutrient combinations.
