Under a magnification of 1600X, this photomicrograph of a Brown & Brenn-stained lung tissue specimen, designated T-600, highlighted some of the histopathologic changes caused by the bacterium, Pseudopropionibacterium propionicum, formerly referred to as Arachnia propionica. The edge of the granules exhibited a phenomenon known as clubbing.
