Under a magnification of 15X, this image depicted a close view of the surface of a Petri dish culture plate that had contained a growth medium of blood agar, which had been inoculated with the bacterium, Cutibacterium acnes, formerly known as Propionibacterium acnes. These colonies had developed after a 72-hour time period.
