Under a magnification of 1.9X, this image depicted a close view of two, Clostridium perfringens type A, bacterial colonies, which had been cultivated on this Petri dish culture plate, on a medium of egg yolk agar, for a 24-hour time period. Note the lecithinase reaction that had manifested surrounding each of these two small colonies.
