This image depicts a close anterior view of a Petri dish culture plate that contained a growth medium of Sabouraud dextrose agar, which had been inoculated with the fungal organism, Microsporum vanbreuseghemii, designated strain X322. The culture was incubated for 4-weeks, and produced this characteristic cream to pink colored colony, exhibiting a flat, velvety textured surface.
