This historic image, captured in November 1961, depicts a scene at a school in Santiago, Chile, where oral polio vaccinations were being administered. A young boy seated at center is about to receive a dose of vaccine while being comforted by Dr. BorgoƱo; immediately behind him stands Mr. Morris, and at far right is Ms. Silva, all of whom were involved in the 1961 oral polio immunization campaign. Two other children nearby await their turn to be vaccinated.
