This was a photomicrograph of a mouse intestinal mucosa specimen, which highlighted some of the histopathology associated with a case of lethal enteritis, due to the mouse hepatitis virus (MHV). This specimen was harvested from one of the three mice depicted in PHIL 14637. MHV was formerly known as the lethal intestinal virus of infant mice (LIVIM).
