This historic photograph from 1959, depicted the Carville, Louisiana Leprosarium's Sisters’ Quarters, i.e., nurses, on the far right, while the Administration Building was outside of this view on the left. These facilities were under the purview of the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS).
