This 1976 photograph was captured during an investigation of hepatitis at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, located in South Dakota. The viral disease was thought to have been spread from person to person at school, however, there was no major investigative breakthrough. This scenario was taking place in one of this school’s administrative offices, and highlighted the typical tumult that took place each school day.
