Caption:
This photograph shows a palmar view of a patient’s left hand with a congenital malformation known as polysyndactyly, involving both supernumerary digits and fusion of adjacent digits forming the middle finger. Also note the malformed thumb, which resembles the structure of an index finger rather than a typical thumb. Thumb involvement is considered unusual in these cases.
