This image depicts a chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) of a 12-day-old embryonated hen egg, which had been inoculated with the vaccinia virus, designated strain Wyeth house strain. Post inoculation, the CAM was then incubated at a temperature of 35°C for 3-days, and subsequently harvested.
