On the far left stood the Head of Laboratory at the Institut Pasteur, Léon Le Minor, William Howell Ewing of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Enteric Section, and microbiologist, Ephraim Saul Anderson of the Central Public Health Lab of London.
