This photomicrograph of eosin and light green–stained tissue from a greater mouse-eared bat, Myotis myotis, captured in Israel, shows histopathologic changes associated with histoplasmosis caused by Histoplasma capsulatum. Numerous H. capsulatum cells are visible throughout the tissue.
