Captured in a laboratory environment, this historic image depicted the right hand of a laboratory technician that was in the process of applying an adhesive backed label to a plexiglass container that contained what appeared to be a litter of newborn mice. Food for the adult mouse that was not visible in this view, was also included in the cage in its own food dispensary rack. The label being applied to the container’s exterior read, “77-234775 9-23-77”.
