This image depicts a dorsal view of a kissing bug, or conenose bug, Triatoma rubida, also referred to as the Hualapai tiger. The specimen was captured in the summer of 2023, on the Muleshoe Ranch located in Cochise County, Arizona. T. rubida is a confirmed and primary vector for Chagas disease, especially in the southwestern United States.
