This historic photograph, captured in June 1957, depicts a group portrait of attendees of a Communicable Disease Center (CDC) course geared toward foreign engineers in the field of public health practice. The course was led by Joseph Borches, standing in the back row on the far right. Although the attendees are not identified, the countries represented include Iran, Peru, Libya, Japan, Taiwan (formerly Formosa), and Israel.
