Captured in 1978, this historic photograph shows Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officer Stefan H. Zineski, MD, a member of the EIS Class of 1978. During his EIS service, Dr. Zineski was assigned to the Maine Department of Human Services, Bureau of Health, where he served as Acting State Epidemiologist and participated in communicable disease and environmental health investigations. Following his EIS service, Dr. Zineski continued his medical career, specializing in internal medicine.
