This historic photograph, captured in March 1959, provides a view of the construction of what would become the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) headquarters campus on Clifton Road, adjacent to Emory University in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. This interior view of the new Building 3 shows an area identified as the building’s “darkroom”, which would become part of the CDC Multimedia/Graphics Branch.
