Captured on March 13, 1963, this historic photograph shows Centers for Disease Control (CDC) laboratory technician Donna T. Warfield preparing micro-serum dilutions, and using loops, is transferring them directly to sterile culture plates. Ms. Warfield was a laboratorian in the CDC’s Virology Section.
