Captured on August 1964, this historic photograph shows a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) laboratory technician dispensing sensitized red blood cells as part of the Laboratory Branch Complement Fixation (LBCF) technique. The reaction plates were positioned on a Syntron vibrating jogger, which provided controlled agitation during the testing procedure.
