Captured in 1978, this historic photograph shows Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officer Dorine G. Kramer, MD, a member of the EIS Class of 1978. During her EIS service, Dr. Kramer worked in reproductive health epidemiology and served as an Abortion Surveillance Officer in CDC’s Family Planning Evaluation Division. She later continued her career in public health, including work involving sexually transmitted diseases and positions with the International Planned Parenthood Federation and the World Health Organization.
