Captured in 1985, this historic portrait shows Centers for Disease Control (CDC) staff member Dean Marrin Fenley, EdD, whose work at CDC included public health education and contributions to the development of the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS). Dr. Fenley later served as an instructional design specialist in CDC’s Division of Adolescent and School Health, where his work focused on school health education and programs designed to reduce health-risk behaviors among young people.
