Under a magnification of 86X, and visualized using the immunofluorescence technique, this photomicrograph highlights the presence of adenovirus type 9 antigen within infected HEp-2 cells grown in a monolayer cell culture. The cells were stained with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-conjugated antibodies directed against adenovirus hexon antigen.
