This 1975 portrait depicted physician and epidemiologist Joel R. Greenspan, MD, who joined the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as a member of the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Class of 1975. Dr. Greenspan subsequently earned a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology and continued his career in preventive medicine and epidemiology, contributing to CDC research and surveillance activities in reproductive health and other areas of public health.
