Captured on October 10, 1964, this historic photograph provides a northwesterly view of construction underway at the headquarters campus of the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) on Clifton Road in Atlanta, Georgia. The photograph documents construction of Addition A, which would house the facility’s cafeteria. Much of the exterior brickwork is already in place, while projecting concrete structural columns, unfinished window and doorway openings, and construction materials document the addition’s continuing development.
