Captured on November 5, 1964, this historic photograph provides a northwestern view of construction underway at the headquarters campus of the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) on Clifton Road in Atlanta, Georgia. The structure under construction would become Addition B, which housed CDC offices, and was attached to Building 1, visible in the background. Concrete foundation walls are already in place, while workers, reinforcing steel, formwork, and construction materials document the addition’s continuing development.
