Caption:
This image depicts a dolphin swimming in its aquatic environment. Note the irregularly shaped lesion on the dorsal surface of the animal’s neck, which exhibits a rough, verrucous texture. Differential diagnostic analysis led to a diagnosis of lobomycosis, an infection caused by the fungus Lacazia loboi, formerly known as Loboa loboi.
