Captured in August 1963, this historic image depicts an anterior oblique view of a General Electric 3-inch/4½-inch Image Orthicon Camera Channel, Type PE-20-A/B. This camera was used by the Audio-Visual Motion Picture Section of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), then known as the Communicable Disease Center, to produce public-health television broadcasts.
