Caption:
Captured in 1975, this image was part of a slideshow that was used to familiarize public health inspectors with the unsanitary conditions commonly found inside migrant worker camps. This particular photograph highlighted a number of this camp’s well-placed privies. They were not too close to the kitchen or well, they were not on ground higher than the well, nor were they too close to a river or pond, and the drainage pit was found to be protected from rainwater, insects and animals.
