This image depicts a close view of a patients left eye revealing marked erythematous conjunctivitis, which was more specifically a case of gonorrheal conjunctivitis, which had been due to the systemic dissemination of Neisseria gonorrhoeae bacteria. In this case, the patient sustained partial blindness due to this condition.
