Caption:
This image depicts a dorsal view of a highly toxic black scorpion, Tityus trinitatis, which is native to Trinidad. One of the sequelae following a T. trinitatis scorpion envenomation, by way of a sting, is pancreatitis, due to its ability to hyperstimulate an intra-pancreatic reaction that converts trypsinogen to trypsin.
