This image depicts a dorsal view of an Indian meal moth, Plodia interpunctella, a stored food pest commonly found in flour mills. Its common name, Indian meal moth, was derived from the fact that this stored foods pest was often found as a contaminant amongst the stored maize, which was used as the main ingredient in the creation of Native American meals.
