This historic photograph was created during the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Directorship of David J. Sencer, MD, MPH, who held the position from 1966 until 1977. Here, Dr. Sencer was shown addressing a group that had gathered at the CDC during one of the many meetings with which the then CDC Director was involved.
